The Wisconsin Materials Institute (WMI) enables collaborative, high-impact materials science and development at University of Wisconsin–Madison and beyond. As an umbrella organization at UW–Madison, WMI provides a gateway for campus materials activities, research and findings. WMI’s vision is to bring together and support academia, industry, and government in accelerating materials science discoveries, and their utilization to benefit society. WMI focuses on engaging materials stakeholders across disciplines, including researchers in the fields of mathematics, statistics, computer sciences, information science, chemistry, medicine, and engineering.
